Ashlyn Phillips is freelance horn player and teacher in the Austin, TX area, who strives to bring a fresh and hip approach to classical music. This is seen through her creativity, both within inspiring young musicians and making covers of herself singing and playing to her favorite tunes on Instagram (@badashhorn). She has performed with the San Antonio Symphony, Tulsa Symphony, The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas and has had many successes in both regional and international horn competitions. Ashlyn is well-known for her versatility as a high and low horn player, and chamber musician. She received her Masters degree at the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University. Her primary teachers include Patrick Hughes and Lanette Lopez-Compton.​
