Assistant Band Director
Mr. Roseman is from Boerne, Texas and graduated from Boerne High School in 2013. Under the direction of Frank Foster, Mr. Roseman earned a spot in the ATSSB All-State Symphonic Band and All-State Jazz Ensemble, where he was principal trumpet. He attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Studies. He studied under Dr. Robert Cannon, Professor Matthew Holzner, Professor Jordan Stern, Dr. Kyle Glaser, Dr. Caroline Beatty, and Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt. During his time here, Mr. Roseman was a member of the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, Jazz Lab Band, the I-35 Brass Band, and the Bobcat Marching Band.
Mr. Roseman just finished teaching in Fredericksburg, Texas as an Assistant Band Director. During his time here he directed and led the high school Brass Choir and the middle school Beginner Band where his students were recently awarded “Best in Class” at the 2018-2019 Schlitterbahn Sound Waves Music Festival. Mr. Roseman also taught private lessons at Danforth Wimberly Middle School, and at The Allegro School of Music in Buda, Texas where he taught lessons for piano, trumpet, and music theory. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Educators, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America where he held the leadership role of Treasurer for the Gamma Phi chapter in San Marcos.
When he has free time, Mr. Roseman enjoys playing disc golf, exercising, and playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate on his Nintendo Switch. Mr. Roseman is thrilled to be a part of the Hays CISD team and cannot wait to work with such passionate and inspiring students and staff.
